  1. Fascinating poll! I wish that I could remain p.c. and say that everyone has the right to be a parent, but I have seen so many examples where I would have to say otherwise. I am not saying or wishing ill-will on any of the beautiful children born already, but what I am saying is that we either have to enact a law (how unwieldy!!) or provide folks with parental training and support. Yes it would be expensive, but how much could it save to the system at-large? I think the savings would be tremendous! Thoughts?

  2. "Unwieldy" is putting it mildly. What would the sentence be? 3 years in jail? 5 yrs? Or maybe mandatory sterilization…

How would you prove criminal intent to conceive a child? Do we prosecute both parents? I guess we would have to make sex illegal, it least for the "undesirables".

    Good luck…

  3. I agree completely! I have no earthly idea how this would come to fruition without dictatorship for the next century…though I sometimes wish we could get to a point where there was more control..in the name of protecting children from negative and unhealthy environments.

  4. I voted yes not because I think it is reasonable to stop people from becoming parents, it's that I think there should be more eduction on what parenthood means and should be given the tools to keep from getting themselves or someone else pregnant.

    They have male oral contraception.
